The Supreme Court’s Leaked Decision

For months, we’ve been bracing ourselves for a decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, and we knew that the outlook wasn’t good. Our worst fears have been reinforced with the news that Politico broke last night. In a leaked draft opinion, the U.S. Supreme Court appears poised to strike down Roe v. Wade, ending a nearly 50-year precedent on the constitutional right to abortion.

Watch our CEO’s interview on MSNBC last night.

If this leak turns out to be true, 26 states are certain or likely to ban abortion outright. This is appalling and unacceptable for a country that claims to support human rights. Abortion bans do nothing to change the need for abortion or help prevent unplanned pregnancy. They simply block people from accessing safe abortion care from trusted providers like Whole Woman’s Health and Whole Woman’s Health Alliance.

Affirm that abortion is essential healthcare by making an emergency donation RIGHT NOW.

We want to assure you that abortion is still legal and this is not the final decision. If you have an abortion appointment scheduled or need to make one, we are here for you! Whole Woman’s Health’s 9 in-person clinics and virtual abortion care services are open today to provide patients with the quality, compassionate care they’ve come to count on. Our patients are always at the center of everything we do. That’s why we’re also working every day to come up with innovative and strategic ways to prepare for the final ruling the Justices hand down. This includes expanding virtual services in states that allow abortion via telemedicine and piloting a program that is helping Texans migrate out of the state where they’ve been denied the healthcare they need under Senate Bill 8.

Like many abortion providers, we are doing everything we can to try to meet the needs of pregnant people in the U.S. No matter what the future holds, we will see as many people as we can for as long as we can.

We need your help! Donate to Whole Woman’s Health Alliance to help us keep our clinics open and fight back against abortion bans.
